About

Mina Sakamoto, LPCC

I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio, working with adults and older teens. I offer a thoughtful, depth-oriented space for people who want to understand themselves more fully. If you’re ready to look inward with curiosity, mindfulness, and care, we may be a good fit for working together.

My approach is psychodynamic, meaning we pay attention to patterns shaped by earlier experiences and how they continue to influence your inner world today. I believe meaningful change begins with self-awareness, and that you already hold the capacity for growth and resilience.

Growth as a process, not a destination

I often think of resilience through the lens of Kintsugi, where cracks aren’t hidden or erased; they’re acknowledged as part of what gives the piece its character and strength.

In our work, we don’t rush past pain or try to smooth it over. Instead, we slow down and look at how difficult experiences have shaped you, and how they can be understood and integrated with care.

Over time, many clients notice:

  • Greater emotional resilience

  • Less intensity around anxiety and overwhelm

  • More ease in relationships and communication

  • A growing ability to accept good things and feel deserving of them

  • Increased clarity and confidence in decision-making
